Media coverage in Chile
I choose this issue because right now the media coverage in Chile is mostly worrying. I believe is important to talk about this, seen that lately with the mapuche conflict the press and the media coverage has been corrupted. The press is covering to the government’s benefit, manipulating information and almost making fun of the pain of its nation. The pain of the chilean people has been related not only by Camilo Catrillanca’s death, who was an innocent man killed by the government’s special force which has Wallmapu militarized, also known as Comando Jungla. In solidarity with the mapuche people, concentrations at Plaza Italia, Alameda and other kind of protest haven’t stop. But the special force repression hasn’t either. The media is still quiet about how the police is violating the rights of the chilean people to manifest their pain and hanger produce of so much injustice and corruption.
