J. K. Rowling

Joanne Rowling was born in Chipping Sodbury, July 31st, 1965. She is known for been the writer of the seven-book Harry Potter.

Rowling was living in Edinburgh, Scotland, and struggling to get by as a single mom before her first book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was published after being rejected by 12 major publishing houses.

While struggling to support her daughter Jessica and herself, Rowling worked on her first book in the Harry Potter series. The idea for the book reportedly occurred to her while she was traveling on a train from Manchester to London in 1990.

I got to know Rowling when I watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for the first time at young age, maybe at nine or ten years old. Since then I watched all the Harry Potter’s movies, but just last summer I read all the books except for the last one, Harry potter and the Deathly Hallows, but I will definitely read it next summer.

What I love about her the most, is her extraordinary mind and creativity to write such and amazing books, and her tenacity to never give up to her dream of becoming a writer.
